Theresa Kennedy’s series presents two distinct styles: one focused on abstract art and the other on landscape paintings, some influenced by photographs and others born from imagination. Throughout the entire collection, Kennedy’s background in photography and her evolving technique in color and composition reveal a strong grasp of perspective, lighting, and dimension interwoven into each piece. Similar to how depth is captured by adjusting a camera’s aperture, a sense of depth in her artwork allows the viewer to navigate through the pieces by shifting focus. Whether in the landscape series or abstract body of work, viewers can explore each painting, discovering new details as they engage with the artwork.
Recently, we had the honor of hosting Theresa Kennedy’s first artist reception at Jones Coffee Roasters in South Pasadena. Guests had the opportunity to meet Theresa as she shared insights into her creative process and answered questions about her work and exhibition.
Alongside the in-person event, a diverse group of supporters visited the online gallery before and after the reception. Before the event, S7CAG published an article titled Theresa Kennedy's First Public Exhibition: A Celebration of Abstract and Landscape Art, offering a closer look at her artistic journey, influences, and mentorship, which have shaped her current collection.

This series of artwork by Theresa Kennedy focuses on abstract paintings. The Crush Pad shares the facility with Jones Coffee Roasters. While the café operates daily from 7 AM to 5 PM, the wine bar is open from noon to 8 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 PM on Sundays.
