Collection: Meaghan Tucker
Expressionist artist Meaghan Tucker, known as Meg, was born in Southern California in 1986. Her urban contemporary style is subtly influenced by ancient Mesoamerican aesthetics, likely stemming from her Guatemalan heritage and extensive travels throughout Latin America.
Her recent work focuses on the transformation of a single individual's life, triggered by the death of a previous existence, resulting in an intense and expressive process that is both angry and beautiful. This emotion is conveyed through vivid opaque colors, applied with energetic movements using spray paint, creating tension and dynamism.
Her pieces often feature repeated patterns and layers, symbolizing the depth of the liminal space between worlds, akin to a wormhole. Having lived across the United States, Meg returned to her Californian roots in 2020 and currently resides and paints on an olive farm and vineyard in Paso Robles Wine Country.
