Collection: Bryanna Phimphachanh

Born in 2001 in Los Angeles, CA, artist Bryanna Phimphachanh is currently attending
ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA for her BFA in Fine Arts Illustration scheduled to graduate by 2024.

Phimphachanh often takes inspiration from her early childhood experiences and has a strong interest in mental health. Phimphachanh is a figurative painter, working in oil paint on canvas with large-scale figures. She has been developing a working style with underpainting which contains drips, fissures, and pools of thinned down oil paint.

Selected exhibitions include Welcome Home and Present group shows at ArtCenter College of Design where Bryanna Phimphachanh displayed several paintings in her underpainting style.

Phimphachanh’s work was also installed in the Student Gallery at ArtCenter’s Hillside campus from 2021 to the present. In 2020, Phimphachanh was awarded the runner-up placement for her painting, With Him one of two paintings on her bisexuality, in Home, a juried art show by the Elysian Valley Arts Collective.
