Local artist and South Pasadena resident Robert Sherrill has recently unveiled a beautifully rendered series of new plein air paintings celebrating some of the city’s most cherished landmarks. Known for his talent in capturing natural light, color, and movement in real time, Sherrill’s latest works feature scenes including South Pasadena Middle School (SPMS), South Pasadena High School (SPHS), and the historic Community Room entrance on the north side of the South Pasadena Library.
The collection also includes two striking portrayals of the city’s iconic water tower—one viewed from Grand Avenue and another featuring Orange Grove Park in the foreground.
These new works, along with additional pieces from Sherrill’s ongoing collection, are now on view at Jones Coffee Roasters (1006 Mission St, South Pasadena, CA 91030) in South Pasadena. Guests are invited to explore the exhibition during regular cafe hours, from 7 AM to 5 PM daily, or browse Sherrill's full collection of available artwork through the S7CAG website by taping here.
